Chemistry professor and nationally recognized author, Dr. Paul Hiebert was born in Pilot Mound, Manitoba on July 17, 1892.
Museum to Celebrate Métis Settler John Francis Grant
John Francis Grant was a Métis rancher and entrepreneur, who was born on January 7, 1831 at Fort Edmonton. Shortly after his birth, Grant’s mother (Marie Ann Breland) died.
The Music Lives on at Dufferin Historical Museum
Music has always been an integral part of Carman’s culture. From 1881 to 1998, the Carman Band enriched several communities with its astounding musicianship and superior precision.
